Beginning of Autumn

I made this look with this picture as an “example”. Red, orange and golden and I also added glitter. These arent actually leaves on trees but the picture really captures the colours so beautifully. Love it!

Autumn trees and sky

I think the colours I used are a bit more pinkish red but other than that the look I made has all these colours in it.
I also added glitter because, well because glitter is fun. 😉 But also because I have this one Gosh glitter that always reminds me of autumn because of it’s colours.

See? Glitters! They shift colour between gold and red to green. This glitterliner is almost finished and I know I’ll be so sad when I finally have to toss it away because it’s empty. 😦

I used differens Sugarpill colours again: Goldilux, Asteria, @#$%! and Love+. I also used a little bit Moors Treasure from my Sleek Mediterranean palette to make the red in the crease a little darker.

Autumn Forest

I already uploaded these pictures to my Facebook page but I figured I’d keep all the Autumn series looks together on my blog. So here’s a little blogpost about it. I started the idea for this series with this picture and it needed a look to go along with it, right?

Autumn Forest picture

So I made a look with gold, orange, a brownish red and green. The colours in my look are not nearly as vibrant as the picture but I still like them.

I used Sugarpill’s Goldilux, Asteria, Midori and Olivia on the bottom lashline. And a tiny bit of Diamond Eyes below the brow.
The dark brown/red and green are from some of my Sleek palettes.

I didn’t do any fullface pictures because I only made up one eye and I was basically too lazy to do half-face pictures, hihi. Sorry!
I hope you guys like this addition to the All About Autumn series. There is another update coming but I still need to work on cropping those pictures and I started work again after my vacation so my spare time is limited so it might take me a few days.

I don’t have lots to tell but a lot has been going on in my life but that’s mainly preggo talk and I’m not sure if anybody is waiting on updates about that. I actually doubt it but if I’m mistaken: let me know. 🙂

And let me know what you think of this look, do you like it? What’s your favourite part about autumn? Please let me know in the comments!

Marjolein´s Smokey Red

A long time ago I saw *this* look from Marjolein, a.k.a. The Art Is Makeup, on Facebook. I was immediately smitten with the brown and red colours and I really wanted to do something like it. I actually forgot a bit about these pictures and suddenly I ran into this unfinished blogpost. So I finished it as fast as possible, I hope you like it.

I added a little touch of gold in the inner corner but I think, other than the gold, this look is a lot like what I wanted to do with the inspiration Marjolein gave me.

@#$%! the paparazzi!

I already told you about my new Sugarpill eyeshadow called @#$%! (what’s in a name?). I always like experimenting with colours I don’t wear on a daily basis and @#$%! is definitely one of those colours.

Because it’s a berry red colour with little silver sparkles in it, I thought it would be nice to combine it with a silver eyeshadow (a MakeUp Geek pigment) and different shades of red.
Red is not the easiest colour to wear as an eyeshadow and I like a good challenge. So I tried to make it wearable and dramatic at the same time.

Quite Colorful Quetzal

I found this picture on Pinterest and I thought the colours were beautiful, colourful and rich but very natural at the same time because of the brown.

I decided to make a makeup look inspired by this little cutie from Guatamala. It’s called a Quetzal, by the way. Isn’t he adorable? He has a mohawk!
