Changing Of The Seasons

Autumn has technically passed a while ago but I still love those colours. I made this look with the colours of early autumn in mind. That time when you just notice the leaves goig yellow and golden but they haven’t fallen off just yet. I like that time of year because it’s usually still a warmer temperature but you can feel the cold starting to creep in.

I made this look with some of my Sugarpill pigments and pressed eyeshadows: Goldilux, Olivia, Subterranean and Diamond Eyes.
Hope you like it!

A have a soft spot for Sugarpill Goldilux because no matter what you pair it with, it always glows like a ray of sunshine. 🙂

Honestly, the only thing I really don’t like about this look is the sloppy brows. I just didn’t pay attention to them after I added my highlighter and now it’s sparkling up my brows. Oh well, sparkly brows are fun too. 🙂

I just did one eye and I didn’t like the pictures where I looked up or in the camera so there’s just one fullface picture. But those pictures are usually just to give you an idea of how it looked from a distance so this gives a pretty good picture of that, right?

I liked doing this look but I notice I’ve kinda lost the autumn mood, probably like I said: because it’s no longer autumn, haha.

Vintage Dreams

Woohoo, 299th blogpost!

When I made this look I had just done my hair. I usually wear it hanging down or in a ponytail but I wanted to do something different so I tried a sock bun. I really liked the result and I thought it called for a classic makeup.

So I tried keeping my eyeshadow very light (well, light for me anyway) and a nice ombre lipstick. With dramatic eyeliner, just to get that classic pinup feel I had going with my hair.

Eva’s Garden of Eden

I told you about the new and lovely Sleek palette called Garden of Eden. I loved it because it has a lot of colours in it that I use in my looks. Especially the green colours appealed to me and I was so happy they have good pigmentation, so I worked on a new look the next day.

Funny thing: my middle name is Eva, which is the Dutch variation of Eve, so I decided to call this look Eva’s Garden of Eden. Hope you like it!

Falling leaves

Ok, is anybody discovering a theme here? Most of the looks I posted lately have been inspired by autumn or the falling leaves so I made an autumn tag for them.If you like autumn colours, make sure to check out the tag!

This look also has those gorgeous deep dark colours in them. I was riding my bike home from work and I saw a tree with a lot of brown and reddish leaves, some yellow and some were still green. It was such a beautiful sight and I remembered those colours for next day so I could make a look with them.

Subterranean Apples

It’s been a while since my last update!

Sorry about that. I’ve been focussing my attention on other things lately. My love and I bought a new game called Guild Wars 2 and we’re completely addicted. On top of that I’m giving a course at work and I love doing it but it’s also exhausting because I’m still learning (and stressing out about it). So  when I come home or when I have a day off, I just want to relax and do whatever I feel like.
I’ll get back to doing more makeup in a couple of weeks. But for now, you’ll just have to bear with me because I’m trying very hard to keep the balance between funtime and working hard on something I find difficult. I hope you understand!

I told you about the Sleek Candy palette and I wasn’t completely overwhelmed with the colours. I wanted to try the palette as soon as possible so I picked a few colours and tried some stuff out.

In the end, I only used two colours from the palette but I do like how those looked, combined with Sugarpill Subterranean and Soot & Stars.
