Just a quick blogpost about a nailpolish!
About a week ago I posted in one of the Facebook nail groups I’m in that I was looking for a black nail polish with multicolour flecks or glitter. Not the chunky kind of glitter but the kind that you just start to notice when you really look at the polish a bit more up close. I have one that’s from an Essence duo called Ticket To The Show but that’s a tiny bottle and I really like the effect. But all the suggestions I got were either very different from what I was looking for or not completely black. And I really like me a beautiful black nailpolish.
Lucky for me the fantabulous Caroline from Lacquester is in that group too. She got in action and within no time at all, she made this polish!
It’s a bit different from the original but in all honesty: I love the one from Lacquester way more. Not in the least because it’s unique, obviously. But also because it’s a true black polish with a bit more sparkle than the original has and it catches the eye just a bit more. LOOOOOVE IT!
I’m no good at nailpolish shots, I’m fully aware. They usually look a bit sloppy, my cuticles are dry and my polishing is not even near perfect. But it’s about the polish and I’m just really excited about this one, so I just had to show it off a bit 🙂
Just one last picture!
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the Lacquester webshop but please do check it out, she’s an amazing Indie nailpolish webshop that deserves all the attention she can get. She makes great quality nailpolishes that are very special. You can just tell she put’s a lot of effort and love in her products. Oh and she didn’t name this polish, so I named it Caroline’s Constellation, haha.
Let me know in the comments what you think of this polish, you like it? Do you have any makeup products that were just a bit special to you because they are rare or even unique?
Autumn has technically passed a while ago but I still love those colours. I made this look with the colours of early autumn in mind. That time when you just notice the leaves goig yellow and golden but they haven’t fallen off just yet. I like that time of year because it’s usually still a warmer temperature but you can feel the cold starting to creep in.
I made this look with some of my Sugarpill pigments and pressed eyeshadows: Goldilux, Olivia, Subterranean and Diamond Eyes.
Hope you like it!
A have a soft spot for Sugarpill Goldilux because no matter what you pair it with, it always glows like a ray of sunshine. 🙂
Honestly, the only thing I really don’t like about this look is the sloppy brows. I just didn’t pay attention to them after I added my highlighter and now it’s sparkling up my brows. Oh well, sparkly brows are fun too. 🙂
I just did one eye and I didn’t like the pictures where I looked up or in the camera so there’s just one fullface picture. But those pictures are usually just to give you an idea of how it looked from a distance so this gives a pretty good picture of that, right?
I liked doing this look but I notice I’ve kinda lost the autumn mood, probably like I said: because it’s no longer autumn, haha.
I’ve been in a “yay it’s almost spring” mood for about a week. Even though it’s quite early, the weather is great around here and I’m so happy the end of winter is in sight. I was dreading the snow and the freezing cold and somehow we skipped that part this year. It’s basically been a really, really really long autumn and I’m not one bit disappointed that we skipped the icy cold part of winter.
Anyway, because I was in a happy-happy-joy-joy-mood I wanted to do an intense look with glitterrrrrr. And some red, silver and blue. Here’s what happened.
When I made the Gloomy Autumn look I wanted to use some dark colours and I really liked the result. But I’ve always liked dark colours in my makeup so that’s not exactly a surprise. After that I wanted to do “something green” and like Gloomy Autumn, not with too many colours. Maybe some glitter?
Here’s what happened.
Some time ago I got an amazing pigment from Enchantra called Darling. I saw a picture of a bird called a Racket Tailed Roller on Pinterest.
It’s gorgeous pale but intense teal feathers reminded me of the colour Darling but also of Sugarpill’s Lumi. And I could easily imitate those beautiful brown feathers with my Kat von D Saint palette.
So on one of my last days of vacation, I got my pigments together and got to work on this cute birdy look. Isn’t he adorable?
Here’s what happened.
