Review: Sleek Garden of Eden palette

When I saw promopictures of this palette I knew I had to have it. Just had to!
All the colours in it are so beautiful and if I could make a palette, I even think it would be a lot like this one. There are a loads of green shimmery and matte colours in it, so even if the rest wouldn’t be interesting to me I’d still want it. But the other colours are browns, pinks and purples in various finishes and the combination of those colours make this one of the most usable palette’s for all kinds of eyecolours.
It just looked too perfect to be true!!

Review: Sleek Garden Of Eden palette

But my last Sleek experience wasn’t as great as I’m used to from Sleek and I read some negative reviews about this palette too.
Those reviews were negative because of the bad pigmentation of some eyeshadows in this palette. Would this be it? Would Sleek let me down again and crush my love for this brand completely? Would this be the last addition to my Sleek palette collection because, as so many brands out there, they are just not worth the money anymore?

The lovely people from Enchantra were kind enough to send me this palette so I could see for myself.

Read on to find out what I think of Sleek’s Garden of Eden.

Review: Sugarpill Cold Chemistry palette

As you may know I have a huge soft spot for Sugarpill products. And Sugarpill has been releasing a lot of new products lately, I especially had my eye on the Cold Chemistry palette. Dark colours and all with an amazing shimmer, yes please!
So it made me very happy when Linda from Enchantra told me these palettes had arrived at their store.

Sugarpill has a lot of pressed eyeshadows but almost all of them are matte and some have a sparkle in it. That’s what makes this palette so different because these colours are all extremely shimmery and sparkly. And much to my delight, it arrived at my doorstep this week!!
I squealed while unpacking…

Here’s what Sugarpill has to say about it:

A luxury eyeshadow collection created in collaboration with Amelia Arsenic, designer of cult fashion and art brand A is for Arsenic London.

This dark collision of glamour and nocturnal worlds features four richly pigmented, shimmering meteoric shades which blend seamlessly together. The collection combines Amelia’s dark aesthetic with Sugarpill’s trademark velvety smooth eyeshadow formula.

Colors: Soot & Stars, Diamond Eyes, Elemental Chaos, Subterranean

Review: Sugarpill @#$%!

Some time ago I entered a giveaway on The Happy Housewife. It was a giveaway for the Limited Edition eyeshadow @#$%! from Sugarpill.
As you may know I’m a huge fan of Sugarpill eyeshadows so getting the chance to win a Limited Edition eyeshadow from that brand was just too good to be true. So I entered the competition and to my big surprise, I won!!

In this blogpost I’m just going to show it off. You can probably get it in some places but it’s not easy to come by so I’m very happy to call myself the owner of this beauty.
A big thank you to Happy Housewife Linda, also the owner of webshop Enchantra, for doing this giveaway!

MakeUp Geek eyeshadows, I has them!

Before my vacation I got an email from one of the ladies from Makeup Geek, asking me if I want to try some of the MakeUp Geek eyeshadows. Well, do I?!?!?! Of course!! I felt so very honoured and I read the email about 5 times before I actually believed it.

I got to pick 12 eyeshadows that would be sent to me and my package arrived a few weeks later. I was already starting to worry because it was taking very long to arrive but it turned out customs got their evil hands on it and I had to pay up to get it. It’s so like me to get something for free and then still having to pay for it in the end, lol.

Getting the Rimmel look

Some time ago Kruidvat sent me a nice package because in week 39 they’re having a great 1 + 1 free discount. I received some products to review and honestly I haven’t really paid attention to this brand, except from their liquid eyeliner (which is awesome). Well yes, of course I had seen Kate Moss has a gorgeous line of lipsticks by Rimmel but considering I don’t wear lipstick every day, I just skipped those.
But Rimmel seriously surprised me, in a good way!
