Insomnia after a double espresso
I’ve been wearing this look a lot and even though I consider it a “subtle work look”, so no funny business with popping colours and glitter, I still like it enough to show it here.
I used MakeUp Geek pigments for most of the eyeshadow and because one of the pigments is duochrome, you still get your daily dose of colour with this combination.
I wanted to use one of the more neutral colours on my eyelid but I didn’t want the look to be dull. So I figured I’d use the gorgeous duochrome pigment from MakeUp Geek. It’s a dupe for MAC Blue Brown pigment and because it’s a duochrome it gives that flash of colour I really like in otherwise neutral looks.
Of course I still added a nice black eyeliner with a wing. As you may know I’m not really the neutral type, when it comes to makeup. So just a wash of colour without any eyeliner looks very dull to me. The eyeliner makes it more defined, in my opinion. 🙂
And here’s some fullface pictures. I was already dressed for work so here’s what I look like to my colleagues. Not as much hyper-hyper-rainbow-colours as you’re used to when you only know me from my blog. 😀
That’s it! I really don’t have a lot to say about this look. I like it for work but for other occasions I usually like to amp up the colours a bit more.
What do you think? Is it the kind of look you would wear or is it a little too subtle for your taste?
