April fools party

Last weekend we went to Brielle to visit friends. It’s tradition to celebrate the liberation of Den Briel (Brielle) that day and it’s always great fun to see everybody. We don’t live near Brielle so we don’t get to see all our friends very often so when everybody gets together it’s always a good time. I love to see my friends and that day we also planned some dates to see each other this month so… yay!

After that we went to see my parents because we were pretty close to them too and my dad just had his hip replaced. He’s doing very good though so all together it was a very good day.

I wanted to do a more natural look but with a twist in the waterline an lower lashline. I really liked the result because the waterline was sparkly gold! Goldilux FTW!!!

New Years Eve look with NYC

Through Bloggin’ Beauties I got into contact with a lovely lady who works for Kruidvat. Kruidvat is a drugstore in the Netherlands and they have some of my favorite brands like Catrice, Essence and Gosh. I quit Bloggin’  Beauties but she asked me if I’d still like to do looks for them with some products they would send me and I told her I’d be happy to. I love getting to use new products!

So for a New Years Eve look she sent me some products by NYC and I got to work with them.I really liked the little palette with dark colours, I knew I wanted to do a nice smokey eye with that! I spiced it up a bit with glitter liner and rhinestones because it needed to glitter: it for New Years Eve! You need something sparkly on that evening, right?

Ik heb voor Kruidvat een look gemaakt met NYC producten die ik toegestuurd kreeg. Het NYC paletje vond ik erg mooi met donkere kleuren variërend van wit en grijs tot zwart. Dit vroeg om een smokey eye! En ik heb er nog wat “extra’s” bij gedaan in de vorm van glitters en steentjes. Op oudejaarsdag mag het wel een beetje glinsteren, toch?

Stars and moonlight flamenco

Lately I have the bad habit of going to try a look for a certain purpose and then end up with something completely different from what I was going for. It’s very annoying because if I have to make a look with a certain theme for a contest or something, it just doesn’t get done…

I was starting out as a glittery christmas look for a contest and I ended up using no glitter and not the colours that I intended. Oh well, I still like the result.
